Douglas Fent is your local independent insurance agent dedicated to helping Seniors with all aspects of their healthcare needs. Douglas works in partnership with Advocate Health Advisors to educate Seniors on their Medicare choices. With over 14 years in the insurance industry, Douglas believes that there is no “one size fits all” product for his clients, and prides himself on identifying each client’s particular healthcare need and finding the right fit for them. With access to multiple product lines and carriers, Douglas does the research, so the client doesn’t have to.
With a Master’s degree in Education from the University of South Carolina, Douglas’s background as a teacher translates perfectly to helping seniors make sense of the complicated world of Medicare insurance.
He is the father of two children and the husband of an elementary school counselor. Education runs deep in the family.
Early in his career Douglas was a director of fundraising for the United Way of the Midlands, was an educator in middle and elementary school, and an owner of a consumer goods trading company.
He enjoys volunteering in the schools, coaching youth sports as well as playing ice hockey in his spare time. Douglas also holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of South Carolina Aiken.
